Dental suppliers: secure payments on a dental marketplace

Anyone selling dental products knows a cost that never appears on a price list: the time and money spent getting paid. Invoices at sixty or ninety days, reminders, dental practices that pay late, some that never pay at all.

With long-standing customers it is a known and manageable risk. With a new customer, perhaps in another country, it becomes the reason many companies prefer not to sell.

On Oralzon the problem does not arise, because the order of things changes: the customer pays when ordering, online through Stripe, one of the world's leading payment services.

So when you receive the order, the payment has already been made. You do not have to assess the customer's reliability, ask for guarantees or decide whether to extend credit. You prepare the parcel knowing the money is there.

The money is held while the goods are in transit and transferred to you once delivery is confirmed. If the customer does not confirm, delivery is considered confirmed automatically after 7 days in Italy and 15 days in the rest of the EU.

You receive the amount minus the 7% commission, in the account you have connected. To connect it you need an ID document, your company details and your IBAN: verification usually takes a few minutes, sometimes one or two business days.

This mechanism also protects the customer, and that is no small detail. A practice that does not know you is more willing to buy if it knows the payment is protected until delivery. It is one of the reasons a new customer tries a new supplier.

It matters even more abroad. Recovering a debt in another country is slow and expensive, so much so that it is often not worth trying. With payment at the time of ordering, a customer in another country is as safe as one in your own town.

The administrative side becomes simpler too. VAT is calculated automatically according to the customer's country, with a check of their EU VAT number, and in the dashboard you find the data ready to issue the invoice.

To be precise about what remains with you: issuing the invoice to the customer, as always, and handling any returns according to the terms of sale. What disappears is the most tiring part: chasing people who do not pay.

If you want to see what orders and payments look like from the vendor's side, you can explore the dashboard in a demo store, without signing up.

In short: on Oralzon the customer pays when ordering through Stripe, the money is held during shipping and transferred once delivery is confirmed, automatically after 7 days in Italy and 15 in the rest of the EU, there are no debts to recover even abroad, and VAT is calculated automatically.
