Who can buy, who can sell, and the other questions that come up most
The questions arriving before registration are almost always the same, and gathering them in one place saves time for anyone weighing up the platform.
Who can buy. Professionals and organisations in the dental sector holding a VAT number: practices, clinics, dental laboratories. The platform sells between businesses and not to private individuals.
A VAT number is needed to register, and it is worth checking that it appears in the VIES archive if you intend to buy from other countries. Without that registration, VAT is charged.
You can browse without registering. Catalogue and prices are visible to anyone; the account is for ordering, not for looking.
Who can sell. Registered companies in the sector: distributors, importers, manufacturers, laboratories. Company registration, verification of tax details and identity verification of the legal representative are required before payments can be received.
That last requirement comes from anti-money-laundering rules and is not a choice of the platform. Without it you can upload a catalogue but not be paid.
What selling costs. An annual fee of 199 euros and a 7% commission on sales. There are no listing fees and no charges tied to the number of products uploaded.
The commission is calculated on the amount actually received, so a discount applied by the seller reduces it in proportion.
How prices work. They are shown net of VAT, which in trade between businesses is the correct way to compare them, and each seller sets their own.
Who issues the invoice. The seller to the buyer, because the sale takes place between them. The platform invoices its commission to the seller, which is a separate document.
What happens if an order does not arrive. The payment has not already gone to the seller: it passes through the platform. You contact the seller first through the internal channel, and if the matter is not resolved the platform steps in.
Whether medical devices can be sold. Yes, and it is the principal category, but with one requirement: CE marking and manufacturer's name must be declared, or the product is not published.
In summary: buyers are professionals with a VAT number and VIES verification is worth having for foreign purchases, sellers are registered companies with verified identity, the cost is 199 euros a year plus 7% on sales, prices are net, the seller invoices the customer, and without CE marking a device does not enter the catalogue.
